Versions
Get every version of every song you’ve purchased!
By purchasing any music from this here site you will be automatically assigned a User Account which will enable you to obtain updates (new versions) of each song you purchased. So if you purchased a previous version of any piece, you can log in and get any other version since the initial release. There is no charge for this.
Register And Log In
Now when you log in you will be asked for a password. But if this is your first time visiting this page, you won’t have one, of course, so click on the Register link and enter your e-mail address and Registration Code you received in your purchase receipt. That will get you an e-mail asking you to confirm your account so you can (finally!) log in and get those versions.
You can read more about this here.
In any case, once you’ve registered and figured out how to Log In, you can then access your account (including all your versions) any time ya like by clicking on the Your Stuff link from the ‘More’ menu.
Opting Out
Hey, if you’re just not the trusting kind (and who can blame ya?) you can opt out by clicking here. This will remove your account on this site and we’ll never bug you again about new song versions. If you change yer mind? You can contact us and we’ll hit the undo key for ya.
Background
Since for-ehverrrr, software developers have had this thing called ‘revision control’; a system for issuing new versions of a program, usually to provide bug fixes and improvements. Similarly, from time to time it is my practice to revise, polish and otherwise update my music.
As they say, one man’s ‘improvement’ is another man’s ‘blunder’. It’s not uncommon for listeners to prefer a particular version over what I might think of as ‘the latest and greatest’. So this system allows the listener to compare various versions of songs and choose their fave.
