As per usual, I haven’t done nearly enough to market Nice Cuts, but I’m particularly sad about my lack of initiative on Start (how ironic) as I think it’s one of the pieces of which I am most happy. I hope you’ll give it a listen and ‘share’ it, or ‘like’ it or whatever the phrase à la mode seems to be.
I noticed that a lot of people are using Youtube videos simply as a vehicle for listening to music. So this piece is not much more than that; a hopefully pleasant business card to get people to check out the site and perhaps (perchance to dream), shell out for a CD.

Trying to be ‘original’ is a lot like that ‘buy low and sell high’ advice about betting on the stock market. It’s not as easy it seems.
We’re taught from an early age to emulate something (or someone) that ‘works’. Which makes sense. But that strategy simply leads one off course if you’re trying to find your own voice.
Life is getting slower. At least on the vast Interweb. And I blame those diabolical Swedes.
Now every few years we go through these cycles of ‘reach’ vs. ‘grasp’. For a while, ‘hardware’ rules. Life is zippy. Pundits bitch about how our computers are ‘under-utilised’ and bemoan the ‘boredom’ of software. Then we go through a phase where there’s all this new, trés cool software which leaves our various devices gasping; and us waiting. Sadly, we’re going through one of the latter phases now.
